Our fruit trees decided to bloom. Thankfully, Abuela, Abuelo, Ale, Vero, and Cousin Stephen came over to help us pick and gather fruit. Abuelo and Luis climbed up into the trees like monkeys. Abuela went up on the ladder. The rest of us gathered what they dropped or knocked down. After a while, Abuelo shook the plum tree, and we had big rain drops, or plums, falling out of the tree. WOW. Our kitchen table was full of fruit. We got 11 grocery bags of peaches and 12 bags of plums. We gave half of the plums away, and some of the peaches, but we still had a lot. I made some plum jam, and chopped and pitted most of the rest of the plums for freezing. We will see how they are after being frozen. I just didn't know what else to do with all of them. My fingers have plum stained all over them. Tomorrow, I will start on bottling the peaches. It will be fun......
